Hazrat Noor suspected terrorist
blew him up while security forces trying to arrest him in Diamer district, Hazrat
Noor was believed to be a senior leader of the militants blamed for the 2013. His
wife and a daughter and two soldiers of Pakistan Army were killed in the blast.
He was involved in a number of terrorist attacks in Nanga Parbat base camp
attack, where he has killed 10 foreign mountaineers and a local guide. He was
also suspect in killing of Shia passengers traveling from Rawalpindi to Gilgit in
2012 and 2013, and killing of senior superintendent
and two army officers in Diamer District GB.
According to sources,
security forces launched an intelligence-based operation in Tarel valley, near
Chilas town, for the arrest of Hazrat Noor.
Security personnel
surrounded his house on Thursday morning and when they were trying to move
close to it, the militant opened fire on them from inside the house.
They said when the
personnel reached close to the gate of the house, the militant blew himself up
with an explosive device, killing his wife and daughter and the two soldiers.
Another daughter of Hazrat Noor, his son and two other soldiers were injured.
The sources said the
firing continued after the bomb blast and it was believed that there were some
other militants in the area who were firing on the personnel.
Meanwhile, the Inter
Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that three suspected
militants and two soldiers were killed in a gunfight near Chilas on Thursday.
