Yang, who was born in 1989, was arrested in the provincial capital of Kunming, some 200 kilometres away, after 33 hours of “arduous investigation”,  Earlier reports showed the villagers were found dead at their homes on Thursday morning. A list with the victims' names circulating online showed they included 11 males and eight females, with the youngest a three-year-old girl and the oldest 72. Four names were of minors under 18.

US Drons kills At least 15 civilians were killed and 13 wounded  in eastern Afghanistan, the United Nations (UN) said, calling for an independent investigation into the incident. According to US officials said was a militant Islamic State (IS) group target in the Achin district of Nangarhar province. “Unama calls on the government and international military forces to launch a prompt, independent, impartial, transparent, and effective investigation into this incident.” All the civilians reported killed were men, it added. The men had gathered in a village to welcome a local elder on his return from completing Haj and were sleeping when the strike happened, witnesses said. The strike occurred in a remote area near the Pakistan border that has become a stronghold for IS in Afghanistan. The US military command confirmed the air strike in Achin was aimed at IS militants, but said it was gathering information on the allegations of civilian casualties.

The capture and the casualties sustained occurred when the Indian army opened fire across the working boundary,  killing two Pakistani soldiers . The captured soldier, Chandu Babulal Chohan, has been shifted to an undisclosed location.
